To wash a saddle pad the right way please follow the following instructions: 

• Wash your saddle pad at 30° Celsius  - Cold setting for US washing machines
• Turn the saddle pad inside out and close all of the Velcro openings for greatest washing efficiency and minimal wear of the metal badge
• Don't use softener or bleach
• Let air dry - Don't tumble dry
